11. and indeed some men among humans used to take the protection of some men among jinns, so it further increased their haughtiness.

12. تو آپ دیکھ سکتے ہیں کہ غرور شیطان کا ہے۔ یہ آج کی دنیا میں گناہ، مصائب اور فساد کی جڑ ہے۔

12. you can thus see that haughtiness originates with satan; it is the basic cause of sin, suffering, and corruption in the world today.

13. اور انسان کا غرور گرا دیا جائے گا، اور آدمیوں کا غرور گر جائے گا۔ اور اُس دن اکیلا خُداوند سربلند ہو گا۔

13. and the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the lord alone shall be exalted in that day.

14. غور کریں کہ ایک لغت کس طرح عاجزی کی تعریف کرتی ہے: "عاجز ہونے یا اپنے بارے میں کم رائے رکھنے کا معیار... فخر یا تکبر کے برعکس"۔

14. note how one dictionary defines humility:“ the quality of being humble or having a lowly opinion of oneself… the opposite of pride or haughtiness.”.

15. ان کا تکبر ایسا ہے کہ اگر آپ ان سے خراسان و فارس کے کسی علم یا عالم کی بات کریں گے تو وہ آپ کو جاہل اور جھوٹا سمجھیں گے۔

15. their haughtiness is such that, if you tell them of any science or scholar in khurasan and persis, they will think you to be both an ignoramus and a liar.

16. جو مسیحی دولت مند نہیں ہیں انہیں "حسد بھری نگاہوں" سے گریز کرنا چاہیے اور یاد رکھنا چاہیے کہ تکبر کسی میں بھی پیدا ہو سکتا ہے، امیر یا غریب۔ مرقس 7:21-23؛ جیمز 4:5۔

17. jesus said:“ from inside, out of the heart of men, injurious reasonings issue forth: fornications, thieveries, murders, adulteries, covetings, acts of wickedness, deceit, loose conduct, an envious eye, blasphemy, haughtiness,

18. بے شک جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیات کو جھٹلایا اور تکبر کے ساتھ ان سے منہ موڑ لیا ان کے لیے نہ آسمان کے دروازے کھولے جائیں گے اور نہ وہ جنت میں داخل ہوں گے یہاں تک کہ اونٹ سوئی کے ناکے میں سے گزر جائے۔ اس طرح ہم زیادتی کرنے والوں کو بدلہ دیتے ہیں۔

18. verily for those who deny our signs and turn away in haughtiness from them, the gates of heaven shall not be opened, nor will they enter paradise, not till the camel passes through the needle's eye. that is how we requite the transgressors.

19. درگا میں دکھائے گئے خوبصورتی، فضل، جوش اور چستی کے علاوہ، بھینس کے سر اور انسانی جسم کا مہیشاسور شیطان ذہین ترکیب صرف اوپر بیان کردہ وراہا شکل سے میل کھاتا ہے، اس کی کرنسی اور برتاؤ کے لیے دکھائے گئے انحراف اور تکبر کا ذکر نہیں کرنا۔ جانور کے سامنے بھی!

19. besides the beauty, grace, vigour and agility depicted in durga, the clever synthesis of the buffalo- head and human body of the demon mahishasura would equal only that of the varaha form mentioned above, not to speak of the defiance and haughtiness depicted by his stance and demeanour even in the animal face!
