1. لیکن تم میں چھوٹے ہیں۔

1. but among you are those who are niggardly.

2. میں نے کہا، کیا آپ کو لگتا ہے کہ آپ کے والد کا مطلب ہے؟

2. i stated, do you think your dad is niggardly?

3. لیکن جب وہ خوش قسمت ہوتے ہیں تو وہ چھوٹے ہو جاتے ہیں۔

3. but when they are fortunate, they become niggardly.

4. لیکن جو چھوٹے ہیں ان کے لیے اپنی دولت جمع کرو۔

4. but for those who are niggardly, horde their wealth.

5. حکومت پر ناقابل یقین حد تک متعصب ہونے کا الزام لگایا

5. he accused the Government of being unbelievably niggardly

6. اور جو چھوٹا ہے وہ اپنی جان کے خلاف چھوٹا ہے۔

6. and whoso is niggardly, is niggardly only against his own soul.

7. اور وہ جو چھوٹا ہے اور اپنے آپ کو اللہ کی نافرمانی سے پاک سمجھتا ہے۔

7. and as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need of allah.

8. لیکن جب اُس نے اپنے فضل سے اُن کو دیا تو وہ بے حس ہو گئے اور مُڑ کر واپس چلے گئے۔

8. but when he gave them out of his grace, they became niggardly of it and they turned back and they withdrew.

9. وہ جو چھوٹے ہیں، اور مردوں کو چھوٹے ہونے کا حکم دیتے ہیں۔ اور جو روگردانی کرے تو خدا کافی اور قابل تعریف ہے۔

9. such as are niggardly, and bid men to be niggardly. and whosoever turns away, god is the all-sufficient, the all-laudable.

10. کہو: اگر میرے آقا کی رحمت کے خزانے تمہارے پاس ہیں تو تم ان کو روک لو گے ایسا نہ ہو کہ تم انہیں خرچ کرو، اور انسان چھوٹا ہے۔

10. say: if you control the treasures of the mercy of my lord, then you would withhold(them) from fear of spending, and man is niggardly.

11. کہو اگر تمہارے پاس میرے آقا کی رحمت کا سامان ہوتا تو بھی تم ان کو روک لیتے، ایسا نہ ہو کہ تم ان کو خرچ کرو، کیونکہ انسان فاسق ہے۔

11. say:"even if you owned the stores of the mercy of my lord, you would have held them back for fear of spending them, for man is niggardly.

12. کہہ دو کہ اگر تمہارے پاس میرے رب کی رحمت کے خزانے ہوتے تو بھی تم ان کو خرچ نہ کرو گے اور انسان بڑا بخیل ہے۔

12. say,‘even if you possessed the treasuries of my lord's mercy, you would withhold them for the fear of being spent, and man is very niggardly.

13. کہو، "اگر تمہارے پاس میرے رب کی رحمت کے خزانے ہوں تو بھی تم انہیں ضرور روکو گے، ایسا نہ ہو کہ تم انہیں خرچ کرو۔ انسان بہت چھوٹا ہے!"

13. say,"even if you possessed the treasures of the mercy of my lord, you would surely hold them back for fear of spending. man is indeed niggardly!

14. وہ لوگ جو ناقص ہیں اور دوسروں کو مطلبی ہونے کو کہتے ہیں۔ اور جو روگردانی کرے (جان لے کہ) اللہ بے نیاز ہے، بے حد قابل تعریف ہے۔

14. those who are niggardly and bid others to be niggardly. and he who turns away,(should know that) allah is self-sufficient, immensely praiseworthy.

15. کہو: "اگر تمہارے پاس میرے رب کی رحمت کے خزانے ہوتے تو تم انہیں اپنے پاس رکھ لیتے، ایسا نہ ہو کہ تم انہیں خرچ کرو، کیونکہ انسان (سب) چھوٹا ہے!"

15. say:"if ye had control of the treasures of the mercy of my lord, behold, ye would keep them back, for fear of spending them: for man is(every) niggardly!

16. تم سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ خدا کی راہ میں خرچ کرو، لیکن تم میں سے کچھ لوگ بدتمیزی کر رہے ہیں۔ جو لالچ سے برتاؤ کرتا ہے وہ اپنی جان کے خلاف کرتا ہے۔ خدا بے نیاز ہے اور تم غریب ہو۔ اگر آپ اس سے دور چلے جائیں تو وہ آپ کی جگہ دوسرے لوگوں کو لے آئے گا، جو آپ جیسے نہیں ہوں گے۔

16. it is you who are asked to spend for the cause of god, but some of you behave in a niggardly way. whoever behaves miserly does so against his own soul. god is self-sufficient and you are poor. if you were to turn away from him, he would just replace you with another people, who will not be like you.
