2. yet lasting is the majestic and munificent face of your lord.

3. blessed is the name of your lord, the majestic and the munificent!

4. ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਦਾਰ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ।

4. indeed allah is most munificent upon mankind, but most people are not thankful.

5. indeed your lord is most munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks.

8. our lord, do not let our hearts deviate after you have guided us. bestow upon us your mercy. surely you are a munificent giver.

9. the east and the west belong to god. wherever you turn, you are always in the presence of god. god is munificent and omniscient.

10. ਜੋ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਕੇਵਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਲਈ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਨਾਸ਼ੁਕਰਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਆਤਮ-ਨਿਰਭਰ, ਉਦਾਰ ਹੈ।

10. whosoever giveth thanks he only giveth thanks for his own soul; and whosoever is ungrateful then verily my lord is self-sufficient, munificent.

11. so they returned with the favour and munificence from allah, in that no harm reached them; they followed what pleased allah; and allah is extremely munificent.

12. so they returned with the favour and munificence from allah, in that no harm reached them; they followed what pleased allah; and allah is extremely munificent.

13. ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਮਰ ਗਏ ਜਾਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਤੋਂ ਸਨਮਾਨਯੋਗ ਭੋਜਨ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ; ਉਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਾਰ ਹੈ।

13. those who abandoned their homes for the cause of god and who then died or were murdered will receive honorable sustenance from god; he is the most generous and munificent.

14. ਉਹ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ: 'ਹੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਮਾਰਗ ਤੇ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਾਡੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜਨ ਨਾ ਦਿਓ, ਅਤੇ. ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰੋ। ਨਿਸ਼ਚੇ ਹੀ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ, ਭਰਪੂਰ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਹੈਂ!

14. they pray to allah:'our lord! do not let our hearts swerve towards crookedness after you have guided us to the right way, and. bestow upon us your mercy. surely you, only you, are the munificent giver!

15. yet when they see some merchandise or entertainment, they break away to go to it and leave you standing. say,"that which god has in store is far better than any merchandise or entertainment." god is the most munificent giver.

16. ਹੇ ਮੰਨਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਹ (ਮਾਪਦੰਡ) ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਝੂਠ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕਰੋਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਗਲਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰੀ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ; ਅਤੇ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਦਾਰ ਹੈ।

16. o people who believe! if you fear allah, he will bestow upon you(the criterion) that with which you will separate the truth from falsehood, and he will unburden your misdeeds and forgive you; and allah is the extremely munificent.

17. ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸੀ ਇਹ ਜਾਣ ਸਕਣ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਦੀ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਸ਼ 'ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਨਿਯੰਤਰਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਕਿ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ (ਨਿਯੰਤਰਣ) ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ: ਉਹ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਉਦਾਰ ਹੈ।

17. this is so that the disbelievers among people given the book(s) may know that they do not have any control over allah's munificence, and that the munificence is in allah's hand(control)- he bestows to whomever he wills; and allah is extremely munificent.

18. by the end of this period, buddhism had lost some of its popularity in india firstly because the various sects wrangled and quarrelled among themselves, and secondly because the buddhist sangha received munificent donations, and the immense wealth which the bhikshus possessed made them live a life of luxury and led to their moral degeneration.

19. the one who had some knowledge of the book said: i shall bring it unto thee ere thy eye twinkleth. then when he saw it placed before him, he said: this is of the grace of my lord that he may prove me whether i give thanks or am ungrateful. whosoever giveth thanks he only giveth thanks for his own soul; and whosoever is ungrateful then verily my lord is self-sufficient, munificent.
