15. and let not those who disbelieve deem that we respite them for their good: we respite them only that they may increase in sin; and theirs shall be a torment ignominious.

16. اور انسانیت میں سے وہ ہے جو خالی باتوں کو خریدتا ہے، جو جانے بغیر اللہ کے راستے سے بھٹک سکتا ہے، اور اسے مذاق بناتا ہے۔ ہیں! یہ ان کے لیے ایک ذلت آمیز عذاب ہو گا۔

16. and of mankind is one who purchaseth an idle discourse, that he may mislead from allah's way without knowledge, and taketh it by way of mockery. these! for them shall be a torment ignominious.

17. جو لوگ اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی مخالفت کرتے ہیں وہ ان سے پہلے والوں کی طرح ذلیل و خوار ہوں گے۔ اور یقیناً ہم نے کھلی نشانیاں نازل کی ہیں۔ اور کافروں کے لیے یہ ذلت آمیز عذاب ہو گا۔

17. verily those who oppose allah and his apostle shall be abased even as those before them were abased; and of a surety we have sent down manifest signs. and for the infidels will be a torment ignominious.

18. انہوں نے خدا کی وحی کا جھوٹا انکار کرنے کے لئے اپنی جانوں کا سودا کیا اس کے باوجود کہ خدا اپنے بندوں میں جس پر چاہے اپنا فضل کرے اور اس لئے انہوں نے غصے پر غصہ کمایا۔ کافروں کا عذاب ذلیل ہے۔

18. they bartered their lives ill denying the revelation of god out of spite that god should bestow his grace among his votaries on whomsoever he will, and thus earned wrath upon wrath. the punishment for disbelievers is ignominious.

19. پھر جب ہم نے ان کی موت کا حکم دیا تو ان پر ان کی موت کا انکشاف کسی چیز نے نہیں کیا، سوائے زمین کے ایک چلنے پھرنے والے جانور کے جس نے اس کا عصا کاٹا۔ پھر جب وہ گرا تو جنات نے صاف دیکھا کہ اگر وہ پوشیدہ کو جان لیتے تو ذلت آمیز عذاب میں نہ پڑتے۔

19. then when we decreed death for him, naught discovered his death to them' save a moving creature of the earth which gnawed away his staff. then when he fell, the jinn clearly perceived that, if they had known the unseen they would not have tarried in the ignominious torment.

20. بری بات ہے جس کے بدلے انہوں نے اپنی جانیں بدل دیں، جو اللہ کے نازل کردہ پر ایمان نہیں لاتے، اس حسد کی وجہ سے کہ اللہ اپنے فضل سے اپنے بندوں میں سے جس پر چاہتا ہے ظاہر کرتا ہے۔ پس وہ غضب پر غضب نازل کرتے ہیں اور یہ کافروں کے لیے ذلت آمیز عذاب ہے۔

20. vile is that for which they have bartered their souls, that they should disbelieve that which allah hath sent down, out of envy that allah should reveal, out of his grace, unto whosoever of his bond men he listeth. wherefore they have drawn upon themselves wrath upon wrath, and unto the infidel shall be a torment ignominious.
