1. சிலர் தாழ்த்தப்படுவார்கள், மற்றவர்கள் உயர்த்தப்படுவார்கள்.

1. some shall be abased and others exalted.

2. உண்மையில், ராஜாக்கள் ஒரு நகரத்திற்குள் நுழைந்தால், அவர்கள் அதை அழித்து, தங்கள் மக்களில் மிகவும் சக்திவாய்ந்தவர்களை மிகவும் தாழ்மையானவர்களாகக் குறைக்கிறார்கள்.

2. indeed when kings enter a town, they devastate it, and reduce the mightiest of its people to the most abased.

3. நாம் அவர்களை ஏற்கனவே தண்டனையுடன் பிடித்துவிட்டோம், ஆனால் அவர்கள் தங்கள் எஜமானிடம் தங்களைத் தாழ்த்திக் கொள்ளவில்லை அல்லது அவர்கள் பணிவாக இருக்கவில்லை;

3. we already seized them with the chastisement, yet they abased not themselves to their lord nor were they humble;

4. பூமியில் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டவர்களை இமாம்களாக ஆக்கி, வாரிசுகளாக ஆக்குவதற்கு நாங்கள் தயவு காட்ட விரும்புகிறோம்.

4. and we desired to show favour to those who were abased in the land, and to make them imams, and to make them the heirs.

5. உங்கள் இறைவன், “என்னிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்யுங்கள், நான் உங்கள் பிரார்த்தனையை ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறேன். நிச்சயமாக என்னை வணங்குவதில் பெருமையடைபவர்கள் முற்றிலும் அவமானப்பட்டு நரகத்தில் நுழைவார்கள்.

5. your lord said:“pray to me, and i will accept your prayers. surely those who wax too proud to worship me shall enter hell, utterly abased.”.

6. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வையும் அவனது தூதரையும் எதிர்ப்பவர்கள் அவர்களுக்கு முன் இருந்தவர்களைப் போன்று இழிவுபடுத்தப்படுவார்கள். மேலும் நிச்சயமாக நாம் தெளிவான அத்தாட்சிகளை இறக்கியுள்ளோம். மேலும் காஃபிர்களுக்கு அது இழிவான வேதனையாக இருக்கும்.

6. verily those who oppose allah and his apostle shall be abased even as those before them were abased; and of a surety we have sent down manifest signs. and for the infidels will be a torment ignominious.
