1. அவருடைய பெருந்தன்மைக்கு நாம் நன்றியுள்ளவர்களாக இருக்க வேண்டும்

1. we must be thankful for his munificence

2. உன் ஆண்டவனின் அருளால் நீ பைத்தியம் பிடிக்கவில்லை.

2. you are not insane, by the munificence of your lord.

3. அது அல்லாஹ்வின் அருட்கொடையாகும், அவர் விரும்பியவர்களுக்கு வழங்க முடியும்; மேலும் அல்லாஹ் மிகவும் தாராளமானவன்.

3. this is allah's munificence, which he may give to whomever he wills; and allah is extremely munificent.

4. அது அல்லாஹ்வின் அருட்கொடையாகும், அவர் விரும்பியவர்களுக்கு வழங்க முடியும்; மேலும் அல்லாஹ் மிகவும் தாராளமானவன்.

4. this is allah's munificence, which he may give to whomever he wills; and allah is extremely munificent.

5. எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்களைச் செய்கின்றார்களோ, அவர்களுக்கு அவர் கூலியை முழுமையாகக் கொடுப்பார், மேலும் அவர்களின் நன்மைக்காக அவர்களுக்கு மேலும் கொடுப்பார்;

5. then to those who believed and did good deeds, he will pay their wages in full and by his munificence, give them more;

6. அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் அருளிலும் (அவரது) அருளிலும் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறார்கள், மேலும் அல்லாஹ் முஃமின்களின் கூலியை வீணாக்காதிருப்பானாக.

6. they rejoice because of the favours from allah and(his) munificence, and because allah does not waste the reward of the believers.

7. உங்கள் எஜமானர் உங்களுக்காக கடல் வழியாக கப்பலில் பயணம் செய்கிறார், அதனால் நீங்கள் அவருடைய நன்மையைத் தேடுவீர்கள். உண்மையில், அவர் உங்களிடம் மிகவும் இரக்கமுள்ளவர்.

7. your lord is he who sails the ship upon the seas for you, so that you may seek his munificence; indeed he is most merciful upon you.

8. உங்கள் இறைவனின் கருணையைக் காப்பாற்றுங்கள்; உண்மையில் அவர் உங்கள் மீது (அன்புள்ள முஹம்மது நபி, அமைதி மற்றும் ஆசீர்வாதங்கள்) மிகவும் பெரியது.

8. except the mercy of your lord; indeed his munificence upon you(o dear prophet mohammed- peace and blessings be upon him) is extremely great.

9. தொழுகை முடிந்ததும், பூமியில் சிதறி, அல்லாஹ்வின் அருளைத் தேடுங்கள், மேலும் வெற்றியை எதிர்பார்த்து அல்லாஹ்வை அதிகமாக நினைவு செய்யுங்கள்.

9. and when the prayer ends, spread out in the land and seek allah's munificence, and profusely remember allah, in the hope of attaining success.

10. அல்லாஹ்வின் நற்குணமும் உங்கள் மீது அவனுடைய கருணையும் இல்லாவிட்டால், அல்லாஹ் மனந்திரும்புதலை ஏற்றுக்கொள்பவன், ஞானமுள்ளவன் என்றால், அவன் உன்னைக் கண்டுபிடித்திருப்பான்.

10. and were it not for allah's munificence and his mercy upon you and that allah is the acceptor of repentance, the wise- he would then have unveiled you.

11. எனவே (அன்புள்ள முஹம்மது நபி ஸல்லல்லாஹு அலைஹி வஸல்லம் அவர்களே), அறிவூட்டுங்கள், உங்கள் இறைவனின் அருளால், நீங்கள் குறி சொல்பவரும் இல்லை, முட்டாள்களும் அல்ல.

11. therefore(o dear prophet mohammed- peace and blessings be upon him), enlighten, for by the munificence of your lord, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman.

12. அதனால் அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் அருளுடனும், அருளுடனும் திரும்பிச் சென்றனர். அல்லாஹ் விரும்பியதைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள்; மேலும் அல்லாஹ் மிகவும் தாராளமானவன்.

12. so they returned with the favour and munificence from allah, in that no harm reached them; they followed what pleased allah; and allah is extremely munificent.

13. இதனால் அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வின் அருளுடனும், அருளுடனும், அவர்களுக்கு எந்தத் தீங்கும் ஏற்படாமல் திரும்பினர். அல்லாஹ் விரும்பியதைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள்; மேலும் அல்லாஹ் மிகவும் தாராளமானவன்.

13. so they returned with the favour and munificence from allah, in that no harm reached them; they followed what pleased allah; and allah is extremely munificent.

14. எனவே எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வை நம்பி அவனது கயிற்றில் பற்றிக்கொண்டார்களோ அவர்களை அவன் தன் கருணையிலும் அருளிலும் சேர்த்து, தனக்கான நேரான பாதையில் அவர்களை வழிநடத்துவான்.

14. so those who believed in allah and held fast to his rope- he will admit them into his mercy and munificence, and will guide on the straight path towards himself.

15. மேலும் நம்பிக்கையை ஏற்று நற்செயல்களைச் செய்பவர்களின் பிரார்த்தனைகளை ஏற்று, அவர்களின் தாராள மனப்பான்மைக்கு அதிக வெகுமதியை வழங்குகிறார்; மேலும் காஃபிர்களுக்கு இது ஒரு கடுமையான தண்டனையாகும்.

15. and he accepts the prayers of those who accept faith and do good deeds, and gives them a greater reward by his munificence; and for the disbelievers is a severe punishment.

16. நீங்கள் புதிய இறைச்சியை உண்பதற்காகவும், நீங்கள் அணிந்திருக்கும் ஆபரணங்களை அதிலிருந்து எடுக்கவும் கடலை உங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தியவர் அவர்தான். கப்பல்கள் அதைத் திறப்பதையும் நீங்கள் அவருடைய அருளைத் தேடி அவருக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துவதையும் நீங்கள் காண்கிறீர்கள்.

16. and it is he who subjected the sea for you, so you eat fresh meat from it, and extract ornaments from it which you wear; and you see ships ploughing through it and in order that you may seek his munificence and that you may give thanks.

17. இந்த புத்தகம் (களை) பெற்ற மக்களில் உள்ள காஃபிர்கள், அல்லாஹ்வின் அருளில் தங்களுக்கு எந்த கட்டுப்பாடும் இல்லை என்பதையும், அந்த அருட்கொடை அல்லாஹ்வின் கைகளில் உள்ளது என்பதையும் அறிந்து கொள்வதற்காக: அவர் விரும்பியவருக்கு வழங்குகிறார். மேலும் அல்லாஹ் மிகவும் தாராளமானவன்.

17. this is so that the disbelievers among people given the book(s) may know that they do not have any control over allah's munificence, and that the munificence is in allah's hand(control)- he bestows to whomever he wills; and allah is extremely munificent.

18. அல்லாஹ்வும் அவனது அருமைத் தூதரும் தங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்ததில் அவர்கள் திருப்தி அடைந்து, “அல்லாஹ் எங்களுக்குப் போதுமானவன்; அல்லாஹ் இப்போது தனது அருளால் நமக்குத் தருவான், மேலும் (அதனால்) அல்லாஹ்வின் உன்னத தூதர், அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மட்டுமே நாங்கள் தலைவணங்குகிறோம்.

18. how excellent it would be, if they were pleased with what allah and his noble messenger had given them and said,“allah suffices us; allah will now give us by his munificence, and(so will) allah's noble messenger- and towards allah only are we inclined.”.

19. the context of the punic wars and rome's near-disastrous defeat at the battle of cannae(216 bc) link these early games to munificence, the celebration of military victory and the religious expiation of military disaster; these munera appear to serve a morale-raising agenda in an era of military threat and expansion.
