1. അവന്റെ ഔദാര്യത്തിന് നാം നന്ദിയുള്ളവരായിരിക്കണം

1. we must be thankful for his munificence

2. നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ ഔദാര്യത്താൽ നീ ഭ്രാന്തനല്ല.

2. you are not insane, by the munificence of your lord.

3. അത് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹമാണ്, അവൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് നൽകാം. അല്ലാഹു അത്യധികം ഉദാരനാണ്.

3. this is allah's munificence, which he may give to whomever he wills; and allah is extremely munificent.

4. അത് അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹമാണ്, അവൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് നൽകാം. അല്ലാഹു അത്യധികം ഉദാരനാണ്.

4. this is allah's munificence, which he may give to whomever he wills; and allah is extremely munificent.

5. എന്നിട്ട് വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും സൽകർമ്മങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തവർക്ക് അവൻ അവരുടെ പ്രതിഫലം പൂർണ്ണമായി നൽകും.

5. then to those who believed and did good deeds, he will pay their wages in full and by his munificence, give them more;

6. അവർ അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളിലും (അവന്റെ) അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളിലും സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു, വിശ്വാസികളുടെ പ്രതിഫലം അല്ലാഹു പാഴാക്കാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.

6. they rejoice because of the favours from allah and(his) munificence, and because allah does not waste the reward of the believers.

7. നിങ്ങൾ അവന്റെ നന്മ അന്വേഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾക്കായി കടലിലൂടെ കപ്പൽ ഓടിക്കുന്നവനാണ് നിങ്ങളുടെ യജമാനൻ. വാസ്തവത്തിൽ അവൻ നിങ്ങളോട് വളരെ കരുണയുള്ളവനാണ്.

7. your lord is he who sails the ship upon the seas for you, so that you may seek his munificence; indeed he is most merciful upon you.

8. നിൻറെ രക്ഷിതാവിൻറെ കാരുണ്യത്തെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; തീർച്ചയായും നിങ്ങളുടെ മേലുള്ള അവന്റെ ഔദാര്യം (ഓ പ്രിയ പ്രവാചകൻ, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് സമാധാനവും അനുഗ്രഹവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ) അത്യധികം വലുതാണ്.

8. except the mercy of your lord; indeed his munificence upon you(o dear prophet mohammed- peace and blessings be upon him) is extremely great.

9. നമസ്കാരം അവസാനിച്ചാൽ, ഭൂമിയിൽ ചിതറിക്കിടക്കുക, അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹം തേടുക, വിജയത്തിനായി അല്ലാഹുവിനെ സമൃദ്ധമായി സ്മരിക്കുക.

9. and when the prayer ends, spread out in the land and seek allah's munificence, and profusely remember allah, in the hope of attaining success.

10. അള്ളാഹുവിന്റെ നന്മയും നിങ്ങളോടുള്ള അവന്റെ കാരുണ്യവും ഇല്ലായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, അല്ലാഹു പശ്ചാത്താപം സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നവനും ജ്ഞാനിയുമായവനാണെങ്കിൽ, അവൻ നിങ്ങളെ കണ്ടെത്തുമായിരുന്നു.

10. and were it not for allah's munificence and his mercy upon you and that allah is the acceptor of repentance, the wise- he would then have unveiled you.

11. അതിനാൽ (ഓ പ്രിയ മുഹമ്മദ് നബി, സല്ലല്ലാഹു അലൈഹിവസല്ലം) പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കുക, നിങ്ങളുടെ നാഥന്റെ ഔദാര്യത്താൽ, നിങ്ങൾ ഒരു ജാതകനോ വിഡ്ഢിയോ അല്ല.

11. therefore(o dear prophet mohammed- peace and blessings be upon him), enlighten, for by the munificence of your lord, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman.

12. അങ്ങനെ അവർ അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹവും ഔദാര്യവുമായി മടങ്ങി. അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം അവർ പിന്തുടർന്നു. അല്ലാഹു അത്യധികം ഉദാരനാണ്.

12. so they returned with the favour and munificence from allah, in that no harm reached them; they followed what pleased allah; and allah is extremely munificent.

13. അങ്ങനെ അവർ അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്തോടും അനുഗ്രഹത്തോടുംകൂടെ അവർക്ക് ഒരു ദോഷവും സംഭവിക്കാതെ മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി. അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം അവർ പിന്തുടർന്നു. അല്ലാഹു അത്യധികം ഉദാരനാണ്.

13. so they returned with the favour and munificence from allah, in that no harm reached them; they followed what pleased allah; and allah is extremely munificent.

14. അതിനാൽ അല്ലാഹുവിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും അവന്റെ കയറിൽ മുറുകെ പിടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തവരെ അവൻ തന്റെ കാരുണ്യത്തിലും ഔദാര്യത്തിലും പ്രവേശിപ്പിക്കുകയും, അവനിലേക്കുള്ള നേരായ പാതയിൽ അവരെ നയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

14. so those who believed in allah and held fast to his rope- he will admit them into his mercy and munificence, and will guide on the straight path towards himself.

15. വിശ്വാസം സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും സൽകർമ്മങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനകൾ അവൻ സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും അവരുടെ ഔദാര്യത്തിന് വലിയ പ്രതിഫലം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. സത്യനിഷേധികൾക്ക് അത് കഠിനമായ ശിക്ഷയാണ്.

15. and he accepts the prayers of those who accept faith and do good deeds, and gives them a greater reward by his munificence; and for the disbelievers is a severe punishment.

16. അവനാണ് കടലിനെ നിനക്കു കീഴ്പെടുത്തിയത്. അതിൽനിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പുതിയ മാംസം ഭക്ഷിക്കുകയും നിങ്ങൾ ധരിക്കുന്ന ആഭരണങ്ങൾ അതിൽ നിന്ന് എടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും. കപ്പലുകൾ അത് തുറക്കുന്നതും അവന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹം തേടാനും അവനോട് നന്ദി പറയാനും നിങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നു.

16. and it is he who subjected the sea for you, so you eat fresh meat from it, and extract ornaments from it which you wear; and you see ships ploughing through it and in order that you may seek his munificence and that you may give thanks.

17. ഗ്രന്ഥം(കൾ) ലഭിച്ചവരിലെ അവിശ്വാസികൾ അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്തിൽ തങ്ങൾക്ക് യാതൊരു നിയന്ത്രണവുമില്ലെന്നും ഔദാര്യം അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ കൈകളിലാണെന്നും (നിയന്ത്രണം) അറിയാൻ വേണ്ടിയാണ്: അവൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് അവൻ നൽകുന്നു. അല്ലാഹു അത്യധികം ഉദാരനാണ്.

17. this is so that the disbelievers among people given the book(s) may know that they do not have any control over allah's munificence, and that the munificence is in allah's hand(control)- he bestows to whomever he wills; and allah is extremely munificent.

18. അല്ലാഹുവും അവൻറെ റസൂലും അവർക്ക് നൽകിയതിൽ അവർ തൃപ്തരായി, "അല്ലാഹു ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് മതി; അല്ലാഹു അവന്റെ ഔദാര്യത്താൽ ഇപ്പോൾ നമുക്ക് നൽകും, (അതിനാൽ) അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായ ദൂതൻ, ഞങ്ങൾ അല്ലാഹുവിന് മാത്രം നമിക്കുന്നു.

18. how excellent it would be, if they were pleased with what allah and his noble messenger had given them and said,“allah suffices us; allah will now give us by his munificence, and(so will) allah's noble messenger- and towards allah only are we inclined.”.

19. പ്യൂണിക് യുദ്ധങ്ങളുടെയും കാനേ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ (ബിസി 216) റോമിന്റെ വിനാശകരമായ തോൽവിയുടെയും സന്ദർഭം ഈ ആദ്യകാല ഗെയിമുകളെ സൈനിക വിജയത്തിന്റെ ആഘോഷം, സൈനിക ദുരന്തത്തിന്റെ മതപരമായ പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം എന്നിവയുമായി ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; സൈനിക ഭീഷണിയുടെയും വിപുലീകരണത്തിന്റെയും ഒരു സമയത്ത് ഈ മുനേരകൾ മനോവീര്യം വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പരിപാടിയായി വർത്തിക്കുന്നു.

19. the context of the punic wars and rome's near-disastrous defeat at the battle of cannae(216 bc) link these early games to munificence, the celebration of military victory and the religious expiation of military disaster; these munera appear to serve a morale-raising agenda in an era of military threat and expansion.
