2. وہ اپنی روزی روٹی یا تو برہمنوں اور کھشتریوں کو پڑھانے کے لیے وصول کی جانے والی فیس سے کماتا ہے، ادائیگی کے طور پر نہیں، بلکہ تحفے کے طور پر، یا کسی سے تحفے کے ذریعے حاصل کرتا ہے کیونکہ وہ اس کے لیے آتشی قربانی کرتا ہے، یا بادشاہوں اور امرا سے تحفہ مانگ کر۔ ، ان کی طرف سے غیر ضروری دباؤ کے بغیر، یا دینے والے کی طرف سے مرضی کی کمی۔

2. he gains his sustenance either by the fee he obtains for teaching brahmans and kshatriyas, not as a payment, but as a present, or by presents which he receives from someone because he performs for him the sacrifices to the fire, or by asking a gift from the kings and nobles, there being no importunate pressing on his part, and no unwillingness on the part of the giver.
