14. یا آپ کہیں کہ ابراہیم، اسماعیل، اسحاق، یعقوب اور قبائل یہودی تھے یا ناصری! کہو: "کون بہتر جانتا ہے، آپ یا اللہ؟ اس سے بڑا ظالم کون ہے جو اللہ کی طرف سے ملنے والی گواہی کو چھپائے؟ اور جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو اللہ اس سے بے خبر نہیں ہے۔

14. or do you say that abraham, ishmael, isaac, jacob, and the tribes, were jews or nazarenes! say: 'who knows better, you or allah? who is more unjust than he who hides a testimony received from allah? and allah is not inattentive of what you do.

15. یا آپ کہیں کہ ابراہیم، اسماعیل، اسحاق، یعقوب اور قبائل یہودی تھے یا ناصری! کہو: "کون بہتر جانتا ہے، آپ یا اللہ؟ اس سے بڑا ظالم کون ہے جو اللہ کی طرف سے ملنے والی گواہی کو چھپائے؟ اور جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو اللہ اس سے بے خبر نہیں ہے۔

15. or do you say that abraham, ishmael, isaac, jacob, and the tribes, were jews or nazarenes! say: 'who knows better, you or allah? who is more unjust than he who hides a testimony received from allah? and allah is not inattentive of what you do.

16. اور یہودی کہتے ہیں کہ عزیر خدا کا بیٹا ہے۔ اور ناصری کہتے ہیں: مسیح خدا کا بیٹا ہے۔ یہ اس کے منہ کا قول ہے، جیسا کہ ان لوگوں کا قول ہے جنہوں نے کبھی کفر کیا تھا۔ اللہ ان کو الجھا دے۔ وہ کہاں جا رہے ہیں؟

16. and the jews say: uzair is a child of god; and the nazarenes say: the masih is a child of god. that is their saying with their mouth, resembling the saying of those who disbelieved aforetime. may allah confound them'. whither are they turning away!

17. یہودی کہتے ہیں کہ ناصری کچھ بھی نہیں ہیں، اور ناصری کہتے ہیں کہ یہ یہودی ہیں جو کچھ بھی نہیں ہیں۔ تاہم، دونوں نے کتاب پڑھی ہے۔ اور جو نہیں جانتے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ کیا کہتے ہیں۔ اللہ قیامت کے دن ان کے درمیان ان کے اختلافات کا فیصلہ کرے گا۔

17. the jews say the nazarenes are not on anything, and the nazarenes say it is the jews who are not on anything. yet they both read the book. and those who do not know say like their saying. allah will judge between them their disputes on the day of resurrection.

18. you will find that the most people in enmity to the believers are the jews and idolaters, and that the nearest in affection to the believers are those who say:'we are nazarenes' that is because amongst them there are priests and monks; and because they are not proud.

19. or say ye that ibrahim and ismai'l and ishaq and ya'qub, and the tribes were jews or nazarenes? say thou: are ye the more knowing or is allah? and who is more unjust than he who hideth a testimony that is with him from allah? and allah is not neglectful of that which ye work.

20. یا آپ یہ کہہ رہے ہیں کہ ابراہیم اور اسماعیل اور اسحاق اور یعقوب اور قبیلے یہودی یا نصرانی تھے؟ تم کہو: تم زیادہ علم والے ہو یا اللہ؟ اور اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہو گا جو اللہ سے ایسی گواہی چھپائے جو اس کے پاس ہے؟ اور اللہ تعالیٰ اس کو نظرانداز نہیں کرتا جس کے لیے تم کام کرتے ہو۔

20. or say ye that ibrahim and ismai'l and ishaq and ya'qub, and the tribes were jews or nazarenes? say thou: are ye the more knowing or is allah? and who is more unjust than he who hideth a testimony that is with him from allah? and allah is not neglectful of that which ye work.
