1. the love affair doth end there.

7. nor doth he speak of(his own) desire.

9. And why doth he therefore give thanks?

10. உண்மை வளரும் மரம் இதோ,

10. Here is the tree where truth doth grow,

11. ஆனால் அல்லாஹ் அவர்களை பின்னாலிருந்து சூழ்ந்து கொள்கிறான்!

11. but allah doth encompass them from behind!

12. பின்னர் அதை பழுப்பு நிற குச்சியாக மாற்றுகிறது.

12. and then doth make it(but) swarthy stubble.

13. என்னுடன் எடுக்காதவர் சிதறடிக்கிறார்!

13. and he who doth not gather with me scattered!

14. நன்றி செலுத்துபவர்களை இறைவன் நன்கு அறிவான் அல்லவா?

14. doth not god know best those who are grateful?

15. அதேசமயம் மனிதகுலம் அத்தகைய விஷயங்களைக் கற்பிப்பதில்லை;

15. and whereas mankind doth not teach such things;

16. பசியை ஊட்டவோ, விடுவிப்பதோ இல்லை.

16. which doth not nourish nor release from hunger.

17. நன்றி செலுத்துபவர்களை அல்லாஹ் நன்கு அறிவான் அல்லவா?

17. Doth not Allah know best those who are grateful?

18. அவர் என் வழிகளைக் காணவில்லையா, என் நடைகளையெல்லாம் அவர் எண்ணவில்லையா?

18. doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?

19. உன் பாவங்களுக்காக அவன் உன்னை ஏன் தண்டிக்கிறான் என்று கூறுங்கள்.

19. say: why then doth he chastise you for your sins?

20. உன் தாயைவிட அவன் உன்னை அதிகமாக நேசிப்பான்."

20. And he shall love thee more than thy mother doth."
