1. પ્રેમ કથા ત્યાં પૂરી થાય છે.

1. the love affair doth end there.

2. જાનવર શું સપનું જુએ છે?

2. what doth the beast dream?

3. શું તમે નથી જાણતા કે ભગવાન જુએ છે?

3. knoweth he not that god doth see??

4. મને લાગે છે કે તમે ખૂબ વિરોધ કરી રહ્યા છો.

4. methnks thou doth protest too much.

5. શું તે તેમને ખાઈને ખાઈ લેતો નથી?

5. doth he not consume and devour them?

6. જે માફ ન કરે તેને માફ કરશો નહીં,

6. he doth not forgive the unforgiving,

7. ન તો તે (પોતાની) ઈચ્છા વિશે બોલતો નથી.

7. nor doth he speak of(his own) desire.

8. તેથી જ્યારે તેણી મૃત્યુ પામે છે ત્યારે દસમી હશે.

8. So shall the tenth when she doth die.

9. અને તેથી તે શા માટે આભાર માને છે?

9. And why doth he therefore give thanks?

10. અહીં એક વૃક્ષ છે જ્યાં સત્ય ઉગે છે,

10. Here is the tree where truth doth grow,

11. પરંતુ અલ્લાહ તેમને પાછળથી ઘેરી લે છે!

11. but allah doth encompass them from behind!

12. પછી તેને બ્રાઉન સ્ટબલમાં ફેરવો.

12. and then doth make it(but) swarthy stubble.

13. અને જે મારી સાથે ઉપાડતો નથી, તે વેરવિખેર થઈ જાય છે!

13. and he who doth not gather with me scattered!

14. જેઓ આભારી છે તેઓને શું ઈશ્વર વધુ સારી રીતે જાણતા નથી?

14. doth not god know best those who are grateful?

15. અને જ્યારે માનવજાત આવી વસ્તુઓ શીખવતી નથી;

15. and whereas mankind doth not teach such things;

16. જે ન તો પોષણ આપે છે અને ન તો ભૂખથી મુક્ત કરે છે.

16. which doth not nourish nor release from hunger.

17. શું અલ્લાહ કૃતજ્ઞોને સારી રીતે જાણતો નથી?

17. Doth not Allah know best those who are grateful?

18. શું તે મારા માર્ગો જોતો નથી, અને શું તે મારા બધા પગલાં ગણતો નથી?

18. doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?

19. કહો, તો પછી તે તમારા પાપો માટે તમને શા માટે સજા કરે છે?

19. say: why then doth he chastise you for your sins?

20. અને તે તમને તમારી માતા કરતાં વધુ પ્રેમ કરશે."

20. And he shall love thee more than thy mother doth."
