1. ಪ್ರೇಮ ಕಥೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಮುಗಿಯುತ್ತದೆ.

4. ನೀವು ತುಂಬಾ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ತೋರುತ್ತದೆ.

4. methnks thou doth protest too much.

5. ಅವನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಂದು ತಿನ್ನುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೇ?

5. doth he not consume and devour them?

6. ಕ್ಷಮಿಸದವನನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಬೇಡ,

6. he doth not forgive the unforgiving,

7. ಅಥವಾ ಅವನು (ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ) ಬಯಕೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

7. nor doth he speak of(his own) desire.

8. ಅವಳು ಸಾಯುವಾಗ ಹತ್ತನೆಯದು ಹಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.

8. So shall the tenth when she doth die.

9. ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ಏಕೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ?

9. And why doth he therefore give thanks?

10. ಸತ್ಯವು ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಮರ ಇಲ್ಲಿದೆ,

10. Here is the tree where truth doth grow,

11. ಆದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಾಹನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತುವರೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ!

11. but allah doth encompass them from behind!

12. ನಂತರ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂದು ಬಣ್ಣದ ಕೋರೆಯಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

12. and then doth make it(but) swarthy stubble.

13. ಮತ್ತು ಯಾರು ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಚದುರಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ!

13. and he who doth not gather with me scattered!

14. ಕೃತಜ್ಞರಾಗಿರುವವರನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲವೇ?

14. doth not god know best those who are grateful?

15. ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವಕುಲವು ಅಂತಹ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ;

15. and whereas mankind doth not teach such things;

16. ಇದು ಹಸಿವನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಥವಾ ಮುಕ್ತಗೊಳಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

16. which doth not nourish nor release from hunger.

17. ಕೃತಜ್ಞರಾಗಿರುವವರನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಾಹನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೇ?

17. Doth not Allah know best those who are grateful?

18. ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

18. doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?

19. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಏಕೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ?

19. say: why then doth he chastise you for your sins?

20. ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವನು.

20. And he shall love thee more than thy mother doth."
