1. ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਖਤਮ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

1. the love affair doth end there.

2. ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਕੀ ਹੈ?

2. what doth the beast dream?

3. ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ?

3. knoweth he not that god doth see??

4. ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ.

4. methnks thou doth protest too much.

5. ਕੀ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਸਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ?

5. doth he not consume and devour them?

6. ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਜੋ ਮਾਫ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ,

6. he doth not forgive the unforgiving,

7. ਨਾ ਹੀ ਉਹ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਇੱਛਾ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

7. nor doth he speak of(his own) desire.

8. ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮਰੇਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਦਸਵੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।

8. So shall the tenth when she doth die.

9. ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਕਿਉਂ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ?

9. And why doth he therefore give thanks?

10. ਇੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਰੁੱਖ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸੱਚ ਉੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ,

10. Here is the tree where truth doth grow,

11. ਪਰ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੋਂ ਘੇਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ!

11. but allah doth encompass them from behind!

12. ਫਿਰ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੂਰੇ ਤੂੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲ ਦਿਓ।

12. and then doth make it(but) swarthy stubble.

13. ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੁੱਕਦਾ, ਖਿੰਡ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ!

13. and he who doth not gather with me scattered!

14. ਕੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਜੋ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰ ਹਨ?

14. doth not god know best those who are grateful?

15. ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖਜਾਤੀ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਖਾਉਂਦੀ;

15. and whereas mankind doth not teach such things;

16. ਜੋ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

16. which doth not nourish nor release from hunger.

17. ਕੀ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ?

17. Doth not Allah know best those who are grateful?

18. ਕੀ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਦਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਿਣਦਾ?

18. doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?

19. ਆਖੋ, ਫੇਰ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ?

19. say: why then doth he chastise you for your sins?

20. ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ।"

20. And he shall love thee more than thy mother doth."
