1. سنجیدہ کاروبار چل رہا ہے

1. some earnest business is afoot belike

2. کیا ہمارے لیے جادوگروں کی پیروی کرنا ممکن ہے اگر وہ فاتح ہیں؟

2. belike we may follow the magicians if they are the winners?

3. شاید ہمارا رب ہمیں اس سے بہتر باغ دے گا۔

3. belike our lord may exchange for us better garden than this;

4. اور جب وہ مدین گئے تو کہا: جیسا کہ میرا رب مجھے اسی طرح لے جائے گا۔

4. and when he betook himself toward madyan, he said: belike my lord will guide me even way.

5. شاید ہمارا رب ہمیں اس سے بہتر باغ دے گا۔ بے شک ہم اپنے رب سے دعا کرنے والے ہیں۔

5. belike our lord may exchange for us better garden than this; verily we are unto our lord beseechers.

6. تاہم، جو کوئی توبہ کرتا ہے، ایمان لاتا ہے اور اچھے کام کرتا ہے وہ فلاح پانے والوں میں سے ہو سکتا ہے۔

6. howbeit, whosoever shall repent and believe, and work righteous works- belike he shall be of the thrivers.

7. اور رات کی: اس کی نگرانی کریں، آپ کے لیے ایک عمل کے طور پر۔ شاید آپ کا رب آپ کو قابل تعریف مقام پر فائز کرے۔

7. and of the night--keep the vigil therein, as an act of supererogation for thee; belike thy lord will raise thee up in a station praised.

8. لوگ آپ سے وقت پوچھتے ہیں۔ اپنے آپ سے کہو: اس کا علم اللہ ہی کو ہے اور تم کیا جانو! - ایسا لگتا ہے کہ وقت قریب ہے۔

8. people ask thee ccncerning the hour. say thou: the knowledge there of is only with allah: and what knowest thou!--belike the hour is nigh.

9. اور میں تم سے اور ان چیزوں سے جن کو تم اللہ کے سوا پکارتے ہو۔ اور میں اپنے آقا کو پکاروں گا۔ شاید اپنے آقا سے درخواست کر کے میں ناراض نہ ہو جاؤں

9. and i renounce you and that unto which ye call beside allah; and i shall call unto my lord; belike in calling unto my lord i shall not be unblest.

10. پھر میرا آقا مجھے تیرے باغ سے بہتر چیز عطا فرمائے گا اور اس پر آسمان کی پٹی بھیجے گا تاکہ ایک طیارہ بن جائے۔

10. then belike my lord will vouchsafe unto me something better than thy garden and send thereon a belt from the heaven that it become a plane slippery.

11. کہو نہیں! تم نے خود کو ایک مواد سے آراستہ کیا ہے۔ کتنا مناسب صبر ہے! شاید اللہ ان سب کو میرے پاس لے آئے۔ واقعی وہ! وہی اکیلا جاننے والا، حکیم ہے۔

11. he said: nay! your selves have embellished for you an affair; so seemly patience! belike allah may bring them all unto me; verily he! only he is the knowing, the wise.

12. اپنے رب کی طرح، اگر وہ آپ کو جھٹلائے گا تو وہ اسے آپ سے بہتر عورتیں دے گا، مسلمان، مومن، عبادت گزار، توبہ کرنے والی، عبادت گزار، روزے کی عادی، غیر کنواری اور کنواریاں۔

12. belike his lord, if he divorce you, will give him in exchange wives better than you, muslims, believers, devout, penitent, worshippers, given to fasting, both non-virgins and virgins.

13. سوائے اس شرط کے کہ اللہ بھی ایسا ہی کرے گا۔ اور اپنے رب کو یاد کرو جب تم اسے بھول جاؤ۔ اور کہو کہ شاید میرا رب مجھے اس سے بھی زیادہ قریب کی سیدھی راہ دکھائے۔

13. except with this reservation that allah so will. and remember thy lord when thou forgettest; and say thou belike my lord will guide me to something nearer than this to right direction.

14. اللہ کی مسجدوں میں صرف وہی لوگ حاضر ہوں گے جو اللہ اور یوم آخرت پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور نماز قائم کرتے ہیں اور زکوٰۃ ادا کرتے ہیں اور اللہ کے سوا کسی سے نہیں ڈرتے۔ شاید یہ رہنمائی حاصل کریں گے.

14. they only shall tend allah's mosques who believe in allah and the last day and establish prayer and give the poor rate and fear none save allah. belike those will be of the guided ones.

15. انہوں نے کہا: آپ کے آنے سے پہلے اور آپ کے آنے کے بعد سے ہم مظلوم تھے۔ اس نے کہا: ہو سکتا ہے کہ تمہارا رب تمہارے دشمن کو تباہ کر دے اور اس کی جگہ جوانوں کو زمین میں رکھ دے تاکہ وہ دیکھے کہ تم کتنی عقلمندی سے کام کر رہے ہو۔

15. they said: oppressed we have been ere thou camest unto us and since thou hast come unto us. he said: belike your lord will destroy your enemy and establish yougs in their stead in the land, thathe may see what wise ye act.

16. لہٰذا اللہ کی راہ میں لڑو جو صرف تمہاری جان کے لیے تمہارے سپرد کیا گیا ہے اور مومنوں کو آمادہ کرو۔ کیونکہ اللہ کافروں کے ظلم کو روک دے گا۔ اور اللہ ظلم میں زیادہ مضبوط اور سزا میں زیادہ مضبوط ہے۔

16. fight thou therefore in the way of allah thou are not tasked except for thy own soul, and persuade the believers; belike allah will withhold the violence of those who disbelieve. and allah is stronger in violence and stronger in chastising.

17. یا کوئی بھی چیز جو آپ کے سینوں سے دور کی چیزوں سے بنائی گئی ہو۔ پھر وہ کہیں گے: ہمیں کون بحال کرے گا! اپنے آپ سے کہو: وہ جس نے تمہیں پہلی بار پیدا کیا۔ پھر وہ آپ کی طرف سر ہلائیں گے اور کہیں گے۔ کب ہو گا! اپنے آپ سے کہو: ایسا لگتا ہے کہ یہ قریب ہے۔

17. or anything created of the things more remote in your breasts. then they will say: who will restore us! say thou: he who created you the first time. then they will wag their heads at thee and say; when will it be! say thou: belike it is nigh.

18. اور جس نے اسے مسر سے خریدا تھا اس نے اپنی بیوی سے کہا: اس کے گھر کو عزت دار بنا دو، شاید وہ ہمیں فائدہ دے یا ہم اسے بیٹا بنا لیں۔ اور اس طرح ہم نے یوسف کے لیے زمین پر جگہ بنائی، اور یہ ہم پر منحصر تھا کہ ہم اسے تقریروں کی تشریح سکھائیں۔ اور اللہ اپنے مقصد میں مستند ہے لیکن اکثر لوگ نہیں جانتے۔

18. and he who bought him in misr said unto his wife: make his dwelling honourable: belike he may profit us or we may take him as a son. and thus we made a place for yusuf in the land, and it was in order that we may teach him the interpretation of discourses. and allah is dominant in his purpose, but most of men know not.
