4. அவர் மத்யனுக்குச் சென்றபோது அவர் கூறினார்: “எனது ஆண்டவர் என்னை அவ்வாறே நடத்துவார்.

4. and when he betook himself toward madyan, he said: belike my lord will guide me even way.

5. ஒருவேளை எங்கள் இறைவன் இதைவிடச் சிறந்த தோட்டத்தை எங்களுக்கு வியாபாரம் செய்வான்; நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் எங்கள் இறைவனிடம் பிரார்த்திப்பவர்கள்.

5. belike our lord may exchange for us better garden than this; verily we are unto our lord beseechers.

6. இருப்பினும், மனந்திரும்பி, நம்பி, நற்செயல்களைச் செய்பவர் செழிப்புடன் இருப்பவர்களில் ஒருவராக இருக்க முடியும்.

6. howbeit, whosoever shall repent and believe, and work righteous works- belike he shall be of the thrivers.

7. and of the night--keep the vigil therein, as an act of supererogation for thee; belike thy lord will raise thee up in a station praised.

8. மக்கள் உங்களிடம் நேரம் கேட்கிறார்கள். நீங்களே சொல்லுங்கள்: இதைப் பற்றிய அறிவு அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மட்டுமே சொந்தமானது: மேலும் உங்களுக்கு என்ன தெரியும்! - நேரம் நெருங்கிவிட்டது போல் தெரிகிறது.

8. people ask thee ccncerning the hour. say thou: the knowledge there of is only with allah: and what knowest thou!--belike the hour is nigh.

9. உங்களையும் அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி நீங்கள் அழைப்பதையும் நான் கைவிடுகிறேன்; நான் என் ஆண்டவரைக் கூப்பிடுவேன்; ஒருவேளை என் ஆண்டவரிடம் முறையிட்டாலும் நான் அதிருப்தி அடைய மாட்டேன்.

9. and i renounce you and that unto which ye call beside allah; and i shall call unto my lord; belike in calling unto my lord i shall not be unblest.

10. என் ஆண்டவர் உங்கள் தோட்டத்தை விட சிறந்த ஒன்றை எனக்கு வழங்குவார், மேலும் ஒரு சறுக்கும் விமானமாக மாற அதன் மேல் ஒரு வானத்தை அனுப்புவார்.

10. then belike my lord will vouchsafe unto me something better than thy garden and send thereon a belt from the heaven that it become a plane slippery.

11. வேண்டாம் என்று சொல்! நீங்கள் ஒரு பொருளை அலங்கரித்தீர்கள்; எவ்வளவு பொருத்தமான பொறுமை! ஒருவேளை அல்லாஹ் அவர்கள் அனைவரையும் என்னிடம் கொண்டு வரலாம்; உண்மையில் அவன்! அவர் ஒருவரே அறிந்தவர், ஞானி.

11. he said: nay! your selves have embellished for you an affair; so seemly patience! belike allah may bring them all unto me; verily he! only he is the knowing, the wise.

12. அவனுடைய இறைவனைப் போல், அவன் உன்னை நிராகரித்தால், அவன் உன்னைவிடச் சிறந்த பெண்களைக் கொடுப்பான், முஸ்லிம்கள், விசுவாசிகள், பக்தர்கள், தவம் செய்பவர்கள், வழிபடுபவர்கள், நோன்புக்கு அடிமையானவர்கள், கன்னி அல்லாதவர்கள் மற்றும் கன்னிப்பெண்கள்.

12. belike his lord, if he divorce you, will give him in exchange wives better than you, muslims, believers, devout, penitent, worshippers, given to fasting, both non-virgins and virgins.

13. அல்லாஹ் அதையும் செய்வான் என்ற இந்த நிபந்தனையைத் தவிர. உங்கள் இறைவனை நீங்கள் மறந்தால் அவரை நினைவு செய்யுங்கள்; மேலும் என் ஆண்டவர் சரியான திசையில் அதை விட அருகில் உள்ள ஏதாவது ஒன்றை நோக்கி என்னை வழிநடத்துவார் என்று கூறுங்கள்.

13. except with this reservation that allah so will. and remember thy lord when thou forgettest; and say thou belike my lord will guide me to something nearer than this to right direction.

14. அல்லாஹ்வையும் இறுதி நாளையும் நம்பி, தொழுகையை நிலைநாட்டி, ஏழைகளுக்குச் செலுத்தி, அல்லாஹ்வைத் தவிர யாருக்கும் அஞ்சாதவர்களே அல்லாஹ்வின் பள்ளிவாசல்களுக்குச் செல்வார்கள். ஒருவேளை இவர்கள் வழிநடத்தப்படுவார்கள்.

14. they only shall tend allah's mosques who believe in allah and the last day and establish prayer and give the poor rate and fear none save allah. belike those will be of the guided ones.

15. அவர்கள் கூறினார்கள்: நீங்கள் எங்களிடம் வருவதற்கு முன்பும், நீங்கள் எங்களிடம் வந்ததிலிருந்தும் நாங்கள் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டோம். அவன் சொன்னான்: ஒருவேளை உன் எஜமான் உன் எதிரியை அழித்து, நீ எவ்வளவு புத்திசாலித்தனமாகச் செய்கிறாய் என்று அவன் பார்க்கும்படி, அவனுடைய இடத்தில் வாலிபர்களை தேசத்தில் நிறுத்துவான்.

15. they said: oppressed we have been ere thou camest unto us and since thou hast come unto us. he said: belike your lord will destroy your enemy and establish yougs in their stead in the land, thathe may see what wise ye act.

16. ஆகவே, உங்களது ஆன்மாவுக்காக மட்டுமே உங்களிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் போரிட்டு, நம்பிக்கையாளர்களை வற்புறுத்துங்கள். காஃபிர்களின் வன்முறையை அல்லாஹ் தடுத்து நிறுத்துவான். மேலும் அல்லாஹ் வன்முறையில் வலிமையானவன், தண்டனையில் வலிமையானவன்.

16. fight thou therefore in the way of allah thou are not tasked except for thy own soul, and persuade the believers; belike allah will withhold the violence of those who disbelieve. and allah is stronger in violence and stronger in chastising.

17. அல்லது உங்கள் மார்பகங்களிலிருந்து வெகு தொலைவில் உள்ள பொருட்களிலிருந்து உருவாக்கப்பட்ட எதையும். பின்னர் அவர்கள் சொல்வார்கள்: யார் எங்களை மீட்டெடுப்பார்கள்! நீங்களே சொல்லுங்கள்: உங்களை முதல் முறையாக உருவாக்கியவர். அப்போது அவர்கள் உங்களிடம் தலையசைத்துச் சொல்வார்கள்; அது எப்போது இருக்கும்! நீங்களே சொல்லுங்கள்: அது நெருக்கமாக இருப்பதாகத் தெரிகிறது.

17. or anything created of the things more remote in your breasts. then they will say: who will restore us! say thou: he who created you the first time. then they will wag their heads at thee and say; when will it be! say thou: belike it is nigh.

18. and he who bought him in misr said unto his wife: make his dwelling honourable: belike he may profit us or we may take him as a son. and thus we made a place for yusuf in the land, and it was in order that we may teach him the interpretation of discourses. and allah is dominant in his purpose, but most of men know not.
