2. ഞങ്ങളുടെ കാര്യം പുതിയതായതിനാൽ, ഞങ്ങൾ വീണ്ടും ചിന്തിക്കുകയും വീണ്ടും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയും വേണം.

2. as our case is new, so must bethink anew and act anew.

3. അതോ ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ചെയ്യുന്നവർ നമ്മെ മറികടക്കുമെന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ കരുതുന്നുണ്ടോ? അവർ വിധിക്കും!

4. അതോ ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ചെയ്യുന്നവർ നമ്മെ മറികടക്കുമെന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ കരുതുന്നുണ്ടോ? അവർ വിധിക്കും!

5. അവരുടെ രഹസ്യങ്ങളും കുശുകുശുപ്പുകളും നമ്മൾ കേൾക്കുന്നില്ലെന്ന് അവർ കരുതുന്നുണ്ടോ? അതെ! ഞങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുന്നു, അവരോടൊപ്പമുള്ള ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൂതന്മാർ എഴുതുന്നു.

5. bethink they that we hear not their secrets and whispers? yea! we do, and our messengers present with them write down.

6. സ്വയം പറയുക: ചിന്തിക്കുക! ഇത് യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ അല്ലാഹുവിൽ നിന്നുള്ളതാണെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾ അതിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ, അകന്ന ഭിന്നതയിൽ പെട്ടവനെക്കാൾ വഴിപിഴച്ചവൻ ആരുണ്ട്?

6. say thou: bethink ye! if it is really from allah and then ye disbelieve therein, then who is further astray than one who is in schism far-off?

7. ആകാശങ്ങളും ഭൂമിയും സൃഷ്‌ടിക്കുകയും അവ സൃഷ്‌ടിക്കാൻ മടുപ്പിക്കാതിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്‌ത അള്ളാഹു മരിച്ചവരെ ഉയിർപ്പിക്കാൻ കഴിവുള്ളവനാണെന്ന് അവർ മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നില്ലേ? അതെ! സത്യത്തിൽ അവൻ എല്ലാറ്റിനും ഉപരിയാണ്.

7. bethink they not that allah who created the heavens and the earth and was not fatigued with the creation thereof, is able to quicken the dead? aye! verily he is over everything potent.

8. അവന് പറഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ ജനമേ! ഞാൻ എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവിന്റെ തെളിവിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുകയും അവൻ എന്നോട് കരുണ കാണിക്കുകയും ചെയ്താൽ, ഞാൻ അവനെ ധിക്കരിച്ചാൽ അല്ലാഹുവിനെതിരെ ആരാണ് എന്നെ സഹായിക്കുക എന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ കരുതുന്നുണ്ടോ? അപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു, നഷ്ടം സഹിച്ചില്ല.

8. he said; o my people! bethink if i rest on an evidence from my lord, and there hath come to me from him a mercy, then who will succour me against allah, if i disobey him? ye then increase me not save in loss.

9. അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു: എൻറെ ജനങ്ങളേ! ചിന്തിക്കുക: എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കൽ നിന്നുള്ള വ്യക്തമായ തെളിവിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ഞാൻ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുകയും അവനിൽ നിന്ന് കാരുണ്യം എന്നിലേക്ക് വരികയും ചെയ്താൽ, ഞാൻ അവനെ ധിക്കരിച്ചാൽ അല്ലാഹുവിൽ നിന്ന് ആരാണ് എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കുക? നാശമല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നും നിങ്ങൾ എന്നോട് ചേർക്കില്ല.

9. he said: o my people! bethink you: if i am(acting) on clear proof from my lord and there hath come unto me a mercy from him, who will save me from allah if i disobey him? ye would add to me naught save perdition.

10. അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു: ചിന്തിക്കൂ, എന്റെ ജനമേ! ഞാൻ എന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവിങ്കൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഒരു തെളിവിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുകയും, അവനിൽ നിന്ന് എനിക്ക് ഒരു അനുഗ്രഹം വരികയും, അത് നിനക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്താൽ, നിങ്ങൾ അത് ചെയ്യാൻ മടിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളെ അത് പാലിക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ടോ?

10. he said: bethink ye, o my people! if i rested upon an evidence from my lord, and a mercy hath come unto me from him, and that hath been obscured unto you, shall we make you adhere to it while ye are averse thereto?

11. പറയുക: അല്ലാഹു നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒരു ഉപജീവനമായി ഇറക്കിത്തന്നതിനെ കുറിച്ച് ചിന്തിക്കുക, എന്നിട്ട് നിങ്ങൾ അത് അനുവദനീയവും നിഷിദ്ധവുമാക്കി. പറയുക: അല്ലാഹു നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അനുവാദം നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ടോ, അതോ നിങ്ങൾ അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ പേരിൽ കള്ളം കെട്ടിച്ചമക്കുകയാണോ?

11. say thou: bethink ye of that which allah hath sent down unto you of provision, and ye have then made thereof allowable and forbidden? say thou: is it that allah hath given you leave, or fabricate ye a lie against allah?

12. അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു: എന്റെ ജനങ്ങളേ; ആലോചിച്ചുനോക്കൂ, എന്റെ നാഥനിൽ നിന്നുള്ള വ്യക്തമായ തെളിവ് ഞാൻ വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും അവനിൽ നിന്ന് എനിക്ക് ഒരു പ്രതിഫലം ലഭിക്കുകയും അത് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇരുട്ടായിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്താൽ, നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അത് ആവശ്യമില്ലാത്തപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങൾ അത് സ്വീകരിക്കാൻ നിങ്ങളെ നിർബന്ധിക്കണോ? (11:28)).

12. he said, o my people; bethink you, if i rely on a clear proof from my lord and there hath come unto me a bounty from him and it is obscure from you, should we compel you to accept it when you are averse there-to?"(11:28).

13. അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു: എൻറെ ജനങ്ങളേ! ആലോചിച്ചു നോക്കൂ, എന്റെ നാഥനിൽ നിന്നുള്ള വ്യക്തമായ തെളിവ് ഞാൻ വിശ്വസിക്കുകയും അങ്ങയുടെ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ നിന്ന് കാരുണ്യം എനിക്ക് ലഭിക്കുകയും, അത് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇരുട്ടാകുകയും ചെയ്താൽ, നിങ്ങൾ എതിർക്കുന്നതിനാൽ അത് സ്വീകരിക്കാൻ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് നിങ്ങളെ നിർബന്ധിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ?

13. he said: o my people! bethink you, if i rely on a clear proof from my lord and there hath come unto me a mercy from his presence, and it hath been made obscure to you, can we compel you to accept it when ye are averse thereto?

14. കൊണ്ടുവന്നതിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാത്തതിനെ പുകഴ്ത്താൻ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർ, ശിക്ഷയിൽ നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെടുമെന്ന് കരുതരുത്! അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം വേദനാജനകമായ ശിക്ഷയായിരിക്കും.

14. bethink not thou that those who exult in that which they have brought and love to de praised for that which they have not done,- bethink not thou that they shall be in security from the torment! and theirs shall be a torment afflictive.

15. കൊണ്ടുവന്നതിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാത്തതിനെ പുകഴ്ത്താൻ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർ, ശിക്ഷയിൽ നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെടുമെന്ന് കരുതരുത്! അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം വേദനാജനകമായ ശിക്ഷയായിരിക്കും.

15. bethink not thou that those who exult in that which they have brought and love to de praised for that which they have not done,- bethink not thou that they shall be in security from the torment! and theirs shall be a torment afflictive.

16. കൊണ്ടുവന്നതിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാത്തതിനെ പുകഴ്ത്താൻ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർ, ശിക്ഷയിൽ നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെടുമെന്ന് കരുതരുത്! അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം വേദനാജനകമായ ശിക്ഷയായിരിക്കും.

16. bethink not thou that those who exult in that which they have brought and love to de praised for that which they have not done,- bethink not thou that they shall be in security from the torment! and theirs shall be a torment afflictive.

17. ചിന്തിക്കുക: അത് അല്ലാഹുവിൽ നിന്നുള്ളതാണെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾ അത് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ, ഇസ്രായേൽ മക്കളിൽ ഒരു സാക്ഷി ഇതിനകം സമാനമായതും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നതുമായ എന്തെങ്കിലും സാക്ഷ്യപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്, നിങ്ങൾ വളരെ അഭിമാനിക്കുന്നു (എന്താണ് നിങ്ങളുടെ അവസ്ഥ) ? കാണുക! ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ അല്ലാഹു നേർവഴിയിലാക്കുകയില്ല.

17. bethink you: if it is from allah and ye disbelieve therein, and a witness of the children of israel hath already testified to the like thereof and hath believed, and ye are too proud(what plight is yours)? lo! allah guideth not wrong-doing folk.

18. എന്നാൽ തങ്ങളെ ബന്ദികളാക്കിയ ദേശത്ത് അവർ ഓർത്ത് അനുതപിക്കുകയും അവരെ ബന്ദികളാക്കിയവരുടെ ദേശത്ത് നിങ്ങളോട്: ഞങ്ങൾ പാപം ചെയ്തു, ഞങ്ങൾ തിന്മ ചെയ്തു, ഞങ്ങൾ തിന്മ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചാൽ;

18. yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, we have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;

19. മരണഭയത്താൽ ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് ആളുകൾ തങ്ങളുടെ മുറികളിൽ നിന്ന് ഇറങ്ങിവന്നവരും, അല്ലാഹു അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞവരുമായ പഴയവരെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുക. പിന്നീട് അവരെ ജീവിതത്തിലേക്ക് തിരികെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. കാണുക! അല്ലാഹു മനുഷ്യരോട് ദയ കാണിക്കുന്നവനാണ്, എന്നാൽ മനുഷ്യരിൽ അധികപേരും നന്ദി പറയുന്നില്ല.

19. bethink thee(o muhammad) of those of old, who went forth from their habitations in their thousands, fearing death, and allah said unto them: die; and then he brought them back to life. lo! allah is a lord of kindness to mankind, but most of mankind give not thanks.
