1. यह एक घोर अपमान है।

8. पुनरुत्थान के दिन उसका दण्ड दुगना हो जाएगा, और वह वहीं अपमानित होकर रहेगा;

9. आँखें नीची, अपमान उन्हें सुन्न कर रहा था। और जब वे घायल न हुए थे, तब उन्हें दण्डवत् करने के लिये बुलाया गया था।

10. आँखें नीची, अपमान उन्हें सुन्न कर रहा था। और जब वे घायल न हुए थे, तब उन्हें दण्डवत् करने के लिये बुलाया गया था।

11. जो लोग बछड़े की उपासना करते थे, उन्होंने इस जीवन में अपने स्वामी के क्रोध और अपमान का सामना किया, और इसलिए हम जालसाजों को बदला देते हैं।

11. those who worshipped the calf incurred the anger of their lord and abasement in this life, and as such we recompense the forgers.

15. इसलिथे आज तुझे अपमान का दण्ड दिया जाएगा, क्योंकि तू ने पृय्वी पर अन्याय किया है और तू ने अपराध किया है।

15. so today you shall be rewarded with the punishment of abasement because you were unjustly proud in the land and because you transgressed.

16. इसलिथे हम उन पर अन्धकार के दिनोंमें प्रचण्ड आँधी भेजते हैं, कि वे इस संसार के जीवन में अपमान की ताड़ना का स्वाद चखें; और निश्चय ही परलोक का दण्ड बहुत अधिक अपमानजनक है, और वे न छुड़ाए जाएंगे।

16. so we sent on them a furious wind in unlucky days, that we may make them taste the chastisement of abasement in this world's life; and certainly the chastisement of the hereafter is much more abasing, and they shall not be helped.

17. इस प्रकार हम उन पर घातक दिनों में प्रचण्ड हवा भेजते हैं, कि उन्हें इस संसार के जीवन में अपमान की सजा का स्वाद चखें; और निश्चय ही परलोक का दण्ड बहुत अधिक अपमानजनक है, और वे न छुड़ाए जाएंगे।

19. आप उन्हें उसके सामने बेनकाब, अपमान से अपमानित, तिरछी नज़रों से बग़ल में देखेंगे। विश्वासयोग्य कहेंगे, "वास्तव में, हारे हुए वे हैं जिन्होंने पुनरुत्थान के दिन अपने आप को और अपने परिवार को खो दिया। वास्तव में, अपराधी स्थायी दंड में रहेंगे।
