1. "آگے بڑھو، اے بھکھو، بہت سے لوگوں کی بھلائی کے لیے،

1. "Go forth,O Bhikkhus,for the good of many,

2. یہ بھیکھوں کا سنگھا ایسا ہے، یہ مجلس ایسی ہے۔

2. Such is this Sangha of Bhikkhus, such is this assembly.

3. اور بھکھو، میں نے وہ بہت سی چیزیں کیوں نہیں سکھائی ہیں؟

3. And why, bhikkhus, have I not taught those many things?

4. دوسری اور تیسری بار بھیکھوں نے خاموشی اختیار کی۔

4. for a second and a third time the bhikkhus were silent.

5. یہاں کے آپ سبھی بھیکھ اور سمنیر امن چاہتے ہیں، آپ میں سے ہر ایک۔

5. All of you bhikkhus and samaneras here want peace, every one of you.

6. اب، اے بھکھو، کیا یہ ممکن ہے کہ ایسا وقت آئے جیسا کہ کہا جاتا ہے؟'

6. Now, O Bhikkhus, is it possible that such a time might come as is said?'

7. بھیکھو قابل احترام سارپوت کے الفاظ سے مطمئن اور خوش تھے۔

7. the bhikkhus were satisfied and delighted in the venerable sāriputta's words.

8. لہٰذا، ہمیں سری لنکا کے ان بھکھوں کا شکر گزار ہونا چاہیے جنہوں نے تقریباً 2000 سالوں میں یہ فرض ادا کیا۔

8. So, we must be grateful to the bhikkhus in Sri Lanka who did this dutifully over almost 2000 years.
