1. ਹਰ ਵਾਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੋਈ, ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ।

1. whensoever they sensed our punishment they fled from them.

3. the christ, however, whensoever he shall come, no one, getteth to know whence he is.

5. for ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.

6. whensoever they have made a covenant, does a party of them reject it? nay, but the most of them are unbelievers.

7. ਫਿਰ, ਹਰ ਵਾਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਆਉਣੇ ਸਨ, ਵੇਖੋ! ਉਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

7. then whensoever we removed the plague from them, till a term which they were to reach, lo! they were breaking faith.

8. ਜਦੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਚੰਗਾ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ, ਉਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ।

8. whensoever all men shall, speak well of you, for, according to the same things, were their fathers doing unto the false prophets.

9. ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਚੱਲਣਯੋਗ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਨੇ ਦੋ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਿੰਡਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਇਕੱਠ ਲਈ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

9. and of his signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and of the moving creatures which he hath dispersed in the twain. and he is for their assembling whensoever he will potent.

10. ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਅਣਆਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਨਰਕ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਵਾਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ: "ਅੱਗ ਦੇ ਤਸੀਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਖੋ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਝੂਠ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ"।

10. as for those who disobey, their abode is hell. whensoever they wish to escape from it they would be dragged back into it, and told:"taste the torment of the fire which you used to call a lie.

11. and we took compact with the children of israel, and we sent messengers to them. whensoever there came to them a messenger with that their souls had not desire for, some they cried lies to, and some they slew.

12. the lightning wellnigh snatches away their sight; whensoever it gives them light, they walk in it, and when the darkness is over them, they halt; had god willed, he would have taken away their hearing and their sight. truly, god is powerful over everything.

13. ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਵਾਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਆਉਂਦੀ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ: ਹੇ ਮੂਸੇ! ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੋਲ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰੋ, ਜੋ ਉਸਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ; ਯਕੀਨਨ, ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮਹਾਂਮਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਓਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਕੀਨਨ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਭੇਜਾਂਗੇ।

13. and whensoever a plague fell on them, they said: o musa! supplicate thy lord for us, by that which he hath covenanted with thee; surely if thou remove the plague from us we will surely believe in thee, and we will send away with thee the children of israi'l.

14. ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਜਾਂ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾਉਂਦੇ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਬੈਠੋ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਹੋਰ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਣ, ਜਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ। ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਬ ਪਾਖੰਡੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਫਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

14. you have been commanded in the book that whensoever you hear god's messages denied or derided, do not sit in that company until they begin talking of other things, or you will be no different from them. indeed god will put the hypocrites and infidels together in hell.

15. ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਸੇਧ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੇਧਿਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਗੁੰਮਰਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਰਖਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭ ਸਕੋਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਆਮਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰਿਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ, ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ, ਗੂੰਗੇ, ਬੋਲੇ; ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਗ਼ਹੈਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਘੱਟ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਅੱਗ ਵਧਾਵਾਂਗੇ।

15. whomsoever god guides, he is rightly guided; and whom he leads astray-- thou wilt not find for them protectors, apart from him. and we shall muster them on the resurrection day upon their faces, blind, dumb, deaf; their refuge shall be gehenna, and whensoever it abates we shall increase for them the blaze.

16. and we gave to moses the book, and after him sent succeeding messengers; and we gave jesus son of mary the clear signs, and confirmed him with the holy spirit; and whensoever there came to you a messenger with that your souls had not desire for, did you become arrogant, and some cry lies to, and some slay?

17. ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਕੋਈ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ: ਅਸੀਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਜੋ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਦੇ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਸੂਲ ਨੂੰ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਹੈ। ਜਲਦੀ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗਣਗੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਲ੍ਹਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਣਜਾਣ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਜ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

17. and whensoever there cometh unto them a sign, they say: we shall not believe until we are vouchsafed the like of that which is vouchsafed unto the apostles of allah. allah knoweth best wheresoever to place his apostleship. anon shall befall those who have sinned vileness before allah and severe chastisement for that which they were wont to plot.
