14. where an officer takes down any information in writing under sub-section(1) or records grounds for his belief under the proviso, he shall within seventy two hours send a copy thereof to his immediate official superior.

15. in such territories of these high courts as per proviso to sub-section(1) of section 3, there are no commercial courts at district level and instead commercial divisions have been constituted in each of these high courts.

16. (2) notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section(1), the accumulated loss shall not be set off or carried forward and the unabsorbed depreciation shall not be allowed in the assessment of the amalgamated company unless-.

17. (3) the person required by sub-section(1) to cancel an adhesive stamp may cancel it by writing on or across the stamp his name or initials or the name or initials of his firm with the true date of his so writing, or in any other effectual manner.

19. (3) where the new asset is sold or otherwise transferred in connection with the amalgamation or demerger within a period of five years from the date of its installation, the provisions of sub-section(2) shall apply to the amalgamated company or the resulting company, as the case may be, as they would have applied to the amalgamating company or the demerged company.
