1. اور بنی اسرائیل نے حوّیوں سے کہا شاید تم ہمارے درمیان رہو۔ اور ہم آپ کے ساتھ اتحاد کیسے کریں؟

1. and the men of israel said unto the hivites, peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you?

2. اور میں تیرے آگے سینگ بھیجوں گا اور وہ حوّی، کنعانی اور حِتّی کو تیرے آگے سے نکال دیں گے۔

2. and i will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the hivite, the canaanite, and the hittite, from before thee.

3. بنی اسرائیل کنعانیوں، حتّیوں، اموریوں، فرزّیوں، حوّیوں اور یبوسیوں کے درمیان رہتے تھے۔

3. the children of israel lived among the canaanites, the hittites, and the amorites, and the perizzites, and the hivites, and the jebusites.

4. اُن تمام لوگوں کے بارے میں جو اموریوں، حِتّیوں، فرزّیوں، حوّیوں اور یبوسیوں میں سے رہ گئے، جو بنی اسرائیل نہیں تھے۔

4. as for all the people who were left of the amorites, the hittites, the perizzites, the hivites, and the jebusites, who were not of the children of israel;

5. کیونکہ میرا فرشتہ تیرے آگے آگے چلے گا اور وہ تجھے اموریوں، حِتّی، فرزّی، کنعانی، حوّیوں اور یبوسیوں کے پاس لے جائے گا۔ اور میں انہیں کاٹ دوں گا۔

5. for my angel shall go before you, and bring you in to the amorite, the hittite, the perizzite, the canaanite, the hivite, and the jebusite; and i will cut them off.

6. لیکن تُو اُن کو مکمل طور پر تباہ کر دے گا: حِتّی، اموری، کنعانی، فرِزّی، حوّی اور یبوسی۔ جیسا کہ خداوند تمہارے خدا نے تمہیں حکم دیا تھا۔

6. but you shall utterly destroy them: the hittite, and the amorite, the canaanite, and the perizzite, the hivite, and the jebusite; as yahweh your god has commanded you;

7. لیکن تُو اُن کو بالکل تباہ کر دے گا۔ یعنی حِتّی، اموری، کنعانی، فرزّی، حوّی اور یبوسی۔ جیسا کہ خداوند تمہارے خدا نے تمہیں حکم دیا تھا۔

7. but thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the hittites, and the amorites, the canaanites, and the perizzites, the hivites, and the jebusites; as the lord thy god hath commanded thee.

8. کیونکہ میرا فرشتہ تیرے آگے آگے چل کر اموریوں، حِتّیوں، فرزّیوں، کنعانیوں، حوّیوں اور یبوسیوں کے پاس لے جائے گا اور میں اُن کو ہلاک کر دوں گا۔

8. for mine angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the amorites, and the hittites, and the perizzites, and the canaanites, and the hivites, and the jebusites: and i will cut them off.
