1. യിസ്രായേൽപുരുഷന്മാർ ഹിവ്യരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ വസിക്കും; ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളോട് എങ്ങനെ സഖ്യമുണ്ടാക്കും?

1. and the men of israel said unto the hivites, peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you?

4. യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ അല്ലാത്ത അമോർയ്യർ, ഹിത്യർ, പെരിസ്യർ, ഹിവ്യർ, യെബൂസ്യർ എന്നിവരിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സകലജനത്തെയും സംബന്ധിച്ചു;

5. എന്തുകൊണ്ടെന്നാൽ എന്റെ ദൂതൻ നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി പോകും; ഞാൻ അവരെ വെട്ടിക്കളയും.

5. for my angel shall go before you, and bring you in to the amorite, the hittite, the perizzite, the canaanite, the hivite, and the jebusite; and i will cut them off.

6. ഹിത്യർ, അമോർയർ, കനാന്യർ, പെരിസ്യർ, ഹിവ്യർ, യെബൂസ്യർ എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവരെ നിങ്ങൾ പൂർണ്ണമായും നശിപ്പിക്കും. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ;

6. but you shall utterly destroy them: the hittite, and the amorite, the canaanite, and the perizzite, the hivite, and the jebusite; as yahweh your god has commanded you;

7. എന്നാൽ നീ അവരെ പൂർണ്ണമായും നശിപ്പിക്കും; അതായത്, ഹിത്യർ, അമോര്യർ, കനാന്യർ, പെരിസിയർ, ഹിവ്യർ, ജബൂസ്യർ; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ.

7. but thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the hittites, and the amorites, the canaanites, and the perizzites, the hivites, and the jebusites; as the lord thy god hath commanded thee.

8. എന്തുകൊണ്ടെന്നാൽ എന്റെ ദൂതൻ നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി ചെന്ന് നിന്നെ അമോര്യരുടെയും ഹിത്യരുടെയും പെരിസ്യരുടെയും കനാന്യരുടെയും ഹിവ്യരുടെയും യെബൂസ്യരുടെയും അടുക്കൽ നയിക്കും; ഞാൻ അവരെ നശിപ്പിക്കും.

8. for mine angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the amorites, and the hittites, and the perizzites, and the canaanites, and the hivites, and the jebusites: and i will cut them off.
